Back Home in the Sunshine State

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 4, 2009, 3:24 PM
Finally after a very stressful move, and half way organizing belongings in our new apartment, we are feeling at home again. It's a nice place, and since it's right next to the stairs on he 2nd story, we have alot of nice windows.

I am trying to find a good home for my cat, since I can't give him the kind of life he needs. My parrot and him sort of met each other, luckily nothing happened, but it made me realize that they just don't mix well. So, I'm trying to do the responsible thing and find a decent home for the little gray kitty.

My parrot has a much bigger cage now, since I splurged and got him one. He's pretty happy with it so far, and it was a great buy for the price.

Our dog Bella is adapting to apartment life, and she has to be taken out a couple times a day. She's been through alot, and we all have really. She's calming down though, but she's a pain in the butt when she acts like she needs to go out and then doesn't. T_T

Well, we've still got a good bit of unpacking to do, and stuff to get rid of/ give away 'cause we don't have much space.

I found out that my brother :iconmasquerayde: got himself a page here on DevArt, though he has yet to post any of his own work. I'll have to remember to pester him about that. ><

Anyway, just wanted to update. Glad to be back among the sea breeze and palm trees. I'm gonna go eat dinner now. Later~ Angela

Oooh, what kind of parrot do you have? I've always wanted a Jenday Conure. They're so colorful! And the African Greys are gorgeous, too. Nothing like home, is there? :) Sometimes you think it's all you want to get away from, but it turns out to be all you want to go TO. Y'all been getting rain, too? Cause it's been terrrrrrrrible over here.

I've got a quaker parrot, he's mostly green with a bit of blue and gray mixed in. :)

Yeah, we've been getting some rain, I must've slept through it though because I didn't hear it at all. Hope the weather eases up on you guys.

Ooooh quakers! They're intelligent little things, aren't they? I wanted one for my birthday last year but he was already sold. I have a Cockatiel instead, he's a pied cinnamon. Then..i've got my large flock of chickens ^^; [link]

Awesome, Angela... i hope things continue to get better.

I keep forgetting that you have a brother.
:iconshiki-rynn:
Me too. Yeah, I forget to mention him because I don't see him very often, but I'm hoping he can visit a little more. We used to see each other alot when we were kids, since he used to come and stay with us for the summer. Those were fun times.

Yes they are very smart. Mine has a few words or noises he makes that he's used in context. Cockatiels are are sweet little birds and they are smart too. :)

Those are some huge chickens. :D I kinda like how you are sorta hugging yours in that picture. I always liked the idea of hugging big birds. I've met huge geese that were friendly, but I don't think they would've let me pick them up. ^^

Yeah, they're standard cochins. That's Ganondorf, he's dead now :( Shame, I miss him a lot. They're such huge fluffy birds :P Each one weighs a good 11 pounds, which is huuuuuuuge for a chicken. And you can use them for a pillow when you get bored at the fair ^_^

They're growing like crazy! But anyway, I knwo you're busy ;) Sorry to bother ya, and tell your mom mine says Hi ^_^
