Trying New Things

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 17, 2008, 8:26 PM
Here is another new Ashen pic for me to pimp out to you all.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The latest in my personal life has not entailed too much that's new. One thing I have done is moved my 55 gallon fishtank to this house, and that was a big enough job that my back still hurts.
I've also been taking better care of my hair, since I'm tired of it being short. It's been short for the last several years, and now I think I want the longer look back.
Me and Mom got to meet some neighbors across the street, a nice older couple. There's also some younger people around too, but I haven't had the chance to talk with them yet.

In the art related part of my life, I think I will be trying some new things. I want to try to do more life-like drawings/paintings of real people and things. I especially want to work with my colored pencils more, since I haven't been doing it enough lately.
And in doing so, I will eventually need a better digital camera to capture better reference shots. Mine doesn't catch the detail i'd like it to.

I also might be trying a small market in town for selling some prints, and then I might sell some here if anyone wants them. I'll let you guys know which ones are going to be made.

Thanx for reading. ~ Angela

Wow, Asht.... Ashen is getting bigger.
:iconshiki-rynn:
Yes, he is. He's got a little belly on him, but that's good compared to when we first found him. ^^

Interesting... after reading all of your journal entries, and even after your last posting about the friends who have brothers in their 30's, you haven't ever mentioned your brother. So how is your brother these days? He's probably tried to talk to you guys a few times but no one ever answers the phone :)
:iconshiki-rynn:
Patrick, is that you? Or is it Chrissy? I have forgotten to mention my bro because of so much else that's been going on. We only recently moved out of the other house, and my grandparents have been having some problems. My grandmother is currently in the hospital, they say she'll be okay and she may come home tomorrow. Things have just been so hectic lately that I forget to think of alot of things. I'm sorry if that sounds like alot of excuses, but really things are still unpredictable from day to day. We also changed our number, so that could be why no one's answered. I'll email you the new number. ;)

I hope you will put some of your stuff up here too, it would be good to see you take some time to draw again. :)

It's me... Patrick. I always check up on you one way or another, whether you realize it or not :) . Let me know if you guys need anything. I will be moving to Alabama in the beginning of the year (which is only about 3.5 hours from you guys), I got the job at Tennessee Valley Authority as a Senior Reactor Operator and will probably go into management within the next 3-4 years. I'll keep you posted on our whereabouts.
As far as art, I have had some creative juices flowing, but am still lacking that umph to actually put them to paper. I have also been thinking about doing some wood sculpture's (something new), but I was supposed to get a woodcarving knife set from Dad - don't know where that is at the moment, and I haven't bought any to work with.

Talk to you soon, tell Martha I said "HI" and "I love you guys".

~ Patrick
p.s. - i tried to put the angry thing in here, not because i am, i just think it looks funny bouncing around, but i don't see it :(
:iconshiki-rynn:
That's cool that you'll be closer. And I'm on this site alot so if you aren't able to get through the phone, then just send a note or email. I'm almost always online. :)

I think woodcarving sounds very challenging, but I'd definitely love to see what you could do. I don't know if Dad ever bought a woodcarving set for you. Dick Blick art supplies might have something like that. Their wesite is here [link]

I told Mom that you siad hi and loved us.
I'll add you to my friends list so that I can keep tabs on you too. You can do this with me by going to my main page and clicking the 'Watch this Deviant' button.

PS: The emoticons on here are tricky sometimes. But I see the one you were trying to get. When you go to make a comment they should appear to the right of your comment box.
By the way, I will note you the new phone number so you can give us a ring at the new house. :)
